The van below was purchased to carry alot of heavy gear that would get loaded daily so we wanted to ensure that the body was protected from the insise as well as out. We used solid styrofoam to fill in the area between frame supports then trimmed 3/8" panelling to hold it securly to the shape of the van then added tie down handles in prime locations for the type of equipment that would be carried. The owner decided to use it before painting or glueing carpet to the wood as a covering. It is still very functional as is and did not cost over $500.00 to ensure the sides would be safe from poles and corners. It is also harder to ding rom the outside.
